IF - Scattered
So here it is!... My very first digital post!!! And for all you digiart-tech's out there, this is my first full PS painting after 3 weeks of self teaching. I am pleased with it, but I think I've scrambled my brain with all the tutorials. All I'll say is I've learnt a hell of a lot, and yes I could have sat for another 3 weeks tweaking and warping, but its time to move on with what I've learnt so far and create another one. Her face is hand drawn and part of a much larger project, but I need to fill the gap between working on a monstrous sized piece and getting a handle on PS. So there you go! I certainly know what I'll be asking Santa for :)

This is great! I'm an absolute horror with anything digital, so I think it's super impressive that you do this with just 3 weeks of self-teaching!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you Maylani. Sarah a big boost thankyou. Theres so much to learn on PS, but I can honestly say Im now looking back and can see where I need to go next, hopefully thats a good thing! Practise practise, and maybe some equipment that will make it a little easier further along.
ReplyDeleteGreat Illustration, I love the colours and the butterflys :)
ReplyDeleteI love the monochromatic color scheme!
ReplyDeleteCaela and Nessa, thank you. I fiddled around with colours for ages. The original drawing is in colour, but as this is a photo from a larger piece it di allow for tweeking.Once I desaturated the picture it sort of fell into staying monochrome. Her eyes begged to be the vivid blues as found in the butterflies.
